We are BJ and Donna Stephens, owners and caretakers of eieio alpacas at Magnolia Farm in Marysville, Ohio. We purchased our first alpaca in 1999 and we have been planning, learning and slowly growing for the last decade. In 2006 we moved to our current location, providing our 15 animals with 15 acres of gently rolling grassy fields, as well as two enclosed barns for shelter. We are fortunate to have learned from others in the business through our boarding experiences, and continue to learn through seminars and courses offered by many of the leading alpaca educators. Combining this knowledge with our own experiences keeps our alpaca family healthy and happy!

Our goal is to slowly expand our herd using quality herdsires that compliment our foundation herd of females. The bloodlines of Caligula, Titan, Absolut, Victor, Kilyo, Guellermo, Mucho Gusto, Black Knight, and Silvio are represented on our farm.

Our love for alpacas came about from a serendipitous occurrence at 35,000 feet. We were introduced to these magnificent animals in an in-flight magazine. Intrigued, we researched and visited a farm. We fell in love with these creatures, and in six months we were owners and AOBA members.

Part of our name, Magnolia Farm, was chosen in an attempt to keep some of our southern history while relocating to Ohio. BJ retired from the University of Alabama at Birmingham where he was a Professor of Mechanical Engineering. Donna, an Ohio native, managed to turn her southern husband of thirty years into a Buckeye.
